Store manager swore at me and k back and refused my refund even though my receipt was in date. He had brown hair and his name was Neil.
Very crowded with stressed staff in the run up to Christmas. Managed to order at a terminal but disappointed to be asked to pay 10p for a bag when spending over 127!

Always a great shopping experience here at the Argos in the Mall. The customer service is outstanding, everyone is always happy and wanting to help and have many times gave me good infomation on products and services i didn't know about, that is great customer service. The products in Luton Mall are sometimes out of stock which i feel is such a shame for such a great shop and a great team. I like Argos the company but this shop is one of the best i have been in to shop or ask about something.
TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!Went to this store to return some Unused headphones bought the previous day, in which a member of staff asked me if I had used them on my ears and I answered no, I have just opened the box and after seeing all the leads I decided that these were not the headphones for me as I need them to produce music and they were not going to do me justice.After informing the member of staff I was then told that unfortunately I was not going to be able to return them as hey have been used! I advised that I have not put them on my ears and that how else was I going to know unless they were opened. At this point she said she will speak to her manager- NEIL. She then came back out stating again that I would be unable to return the headphones! This was a utter shock to me as their policy clearly states hassle free returns I can assure you that this was certainly not hassle free. I then asked to speak to the manager who after a few minutes came out in a very polite manner and said unfortunately you cannot return these headphones as they have been used! By this point I was infuriated as I had not used the headphones and their policy clearly states that you can return something as long as it has not been used and you have proof of purchase. When asked for proof that they had been used, NEIL (the store manager) abruptly answered that he assumes that they have been used due to the packaging. I then replied that this is not a matter based on assumption, but facts! He then stated that he is unable to take them back due to the original packaging in which I was baffled as everything was in its original packing, unless Argos had somewhat singled me out and decided to give me a fancy box for bank holiday(I think not). I repeatedly stated that I had not used the item and was going to make a complaint as I felt like this was completely down to the miserable, love deprived, lonely life of the store manager Neil which had clearly also rubbed off on this staff! Following this I then went to the Gypsy Lane store in which I was greeted by a lovely member of staff who after explaining why I would like to return the item, had absolutely NO issues with doing so. Just out of kindness I then exchanged the product and bought AKGs. The level of customer service at this store is incomparable. All the staff seem so much happier, and I can clearly see why! DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE, you may come out as miserable as the staff!!
