Free car park for 2 hours which more than enough to drop my family and use their free buses which comes every 10-15 min. Plenty of space.
This car park feels like its in the back of beyond. Its not very easy to negotiate and also hard to find a space. The area designation posts arent really tall enough or signed in large enough text to be fully seen. The bus to the terminal is frequent, yet not very well sign posted for at the terminal either. Didnt help an elderly lady decided to barge to the front of the queue for the bus either. Its very different from the other London airport long stay car parks. The only positive is that you are allowed 2 hours free parking for picking people up from the airport. The short stay is 1 a minute!!
Shame of rip off parking. Very poorly connected and too painful to wait for 30min, on rush hour from Airport to Parking. 30min under the rain is a lot of time!!! Definitely they can managed this better simply adding an additional shuttle bus (sometimes only operates the route 1 bus!)
Penalty over 80 miles from the parking lot I left.I left my car in the parking this airport. My car suffered a penalty more than 80km away from the parking lot that I left parked ( driving on the bus line ) ( this is where I left the car to where it took the fine, but will know the actual route that walked with my car, wasting my gasoline and what it did with the car). Even fom all airport parking cameras they want the parking ticket (which usually leave in bin after leaving). I have flight ticket ticketing, round trip. I have their email confirming the days that the car was going and it was parked there. has proof of direct payment in my bank. And I kept the parking ticket. This is unacceptable. If I had thrown out the ticket, even with all the other vouchers would I be blamed for it? They look for a way to blame you for their lack, they responsibility.
We left the car in for almost a week. We bought our ticket online 2 weeks in advance. 60 for 6 days. We should have bough them earlier,it's cheaper. When we got back and wanted to get out, we put the ticket in the machine and said we still have to pay 120 something pounds. I pushed the assistance button and the guy from the intercom asked for the licence plate number and fixed it ,nothing left to pay. Good service, the car was safe. Still we had to find a place to park as it's always full.
